DOST VI CONDUCTS TALK ON HEALTH AND WELLNESS

In celebration of National Women’s Month (NWM), the Department of Science and Technology Region VI (DOST VI) held a talk on Health and Wellness via Zoom, March 11. The talk aims to promote healthy living to DOST VI personnel to prevent common lifestyle diseases such as hypertension and diabetes.

To share knowledge of sex and gender and provide a deeper understanding of gender biases and stereotyping practices to DOST VI personnel, the department’s Gender and Development Focal Group System (GFPS) hosted Gender Sensitivity and Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC) via Zoom.

SETUP, CEST STAFF ORIENTED ON GENDER SENSITIVITY, RESPONSIVENESS INTEGRATION IN PROJECT PLANNING

DOST VI conducted a virtual orientation on the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG) checklist for personnel of DOST VI Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) and Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST) across Western Visayas.

DOST VI SUPPORTS DRIVE TO END VAW

In support of the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW), the Department of Science and Technology VI (DOST VI) Gender and Development (GAD) Program hosted a forum on Republic Act 11313, otherwise known as the Safe Spaces Act, and the rights protected by it.
