Business dialogues and business matching activities sets off in Startup Jam as part of the 2023 National Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (NSTW) celebration in Iloilo City.
Organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in partnership with Youth First Initiative Philippines, Inc., Startup Jam will run from November 22 to 26 at the Innovation Lounge in Iloilo Convention Center lobby.
Startup Jam highlights interactive and insightful talks dubbed as Fyrside Chats and the Startup Development Matching that will provide startups the opportunity to facilitate strategic connections in the business industry.
Fyrside Chat features talks on tech innovation, blue economy and agri-tech. Resource persons for the activity are industry leaders and startup founder to share their stories and inspiration to budding entrepreneurs.
Startup Development Matching, on the other hand, is a platform where budding entrepreneurs can pitch and promote their innovative products and services. The activity creates an opportunity for startups to acquire investments and learn from experts.
Startup Jam primarily aims to level up startup growth and innovation continuously strengthen the innovation ecosystem by promoting a market oriented and technology-driven enterprises. With Startup Jam, DOST and YFIP targets to potentially increase investments in the local startup community and enhance business competitiveness among the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through digital transformation.
