Brand new researches, inventions and discoveries once again take the limelight with the conduct of the 2015 Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits (RICE) on September 15-17 at SM City, Iloilo.

Inventions will compete in the following categories: Outstanding Invention (TUKLAS Award), Outstanding Utility Model, Outstanding Industrial Design, Outstanding Creative Research, Outstanding Student Creative Research Category for College (SIBOL Award), and Student Creative Research Category for High School (SIBOL Award).

The said invention contest which is in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology-Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) and DOST VI is an excellent avenue for researchers to impart science-based scientific and technological ideas developed among their inventions to the public and private sectors. The 2015 RICE winners will consist of (1) qualifier and two (2) runners-up per category. They will advance in the upcoming National Invention Contests and Exhibits (NICE) to represent the region.
