The Department of Science and Technology Regional Office No. VI (DOST VI), implements its Gender and Development Program (GAD Program) with the goal of strengthening gender mainstreaming within the organization and promoting gender sensitivity and equality among its stakeholders.
The DOST VI Gender and Development Program logo has female and male symbols embedded in the letters G and D to promote equality among the two sexes. The Letter A is shaped like an arrow pointing up to represent the continuous effort of DOST VI in gender mainstreaming. The colors used are pastel red, purple, and blue. The mixture of red and blue results in purple, which is globally recognized as the color of women- symbolizing justice and dignity.
