R&D project aims to benefit MSMEs through digitalization

The West Visayas State University (WVSU) leads the development of serbisyolokal.ph, a web portal that aims to create online directory of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Western Visayas.

The system targets to assess the MSMEs’ digital maturity, create their profile and provide functionalities to enable customers to search MSME services in a particular area. With the use of data analytics, the system would develop a function that will suggest various trainings for MSMEs based on their capability needs.

This web portal is the output of the research and development (R&D) project “Design and Development of an MSME Profiling and Network Portal with MSME Services Recommender System”, implemented by West Visayas State University (WVSU) and funded by the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) under the Regional Research Institution (RRI) Program.
