The Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) 2025 Undergraduate Scholarship is a prestigious opportunity that supports talented Filipino youth in their pursuit of careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The program aims to develop the country’s next generation of scientists, researchers, and innovators through provision of financial support for tuition, living expenses, books, and other need. In addition to financial support, DOST scholars also gain access to training and workshops designed to enhance their skills and prepare them for careers that contribute to national development.

The application period for this batch of Undergraduate Scholarship officially started on October 13, 2024, and all requirements must be completed and submitted online by December 6, 2024. Successful applicants will proceed to the qualifying examination scheduled on April 5-6, 2025.

As part of the promotion for the program, the DOST Capiz conducted an online orientation to various public and private institutions in the province. During the orientation, Ms. Mia C. Pielago focused on guiding participants through each step of the application process, emphasizing the importance of accuracy in filling out the required details given the competitive nature of the scholarship. With 90 participants, the session provided a valuable platform for students and faculty to address specific questions, reducing the likelihood of errors and helping the aspiring scholars achieve the first step towards a life changing opportunity.
