Invention tilt finalist team recognized by DOST Antique
The Antique Provincial Science and Technology Center (PSTC) reached out to a finalist team of the 2022 National Invention Contest and Exhibits (NICE) to formally recognize them for their efforts and to subsequently interview them. NICE is a biennial competition which awards Filipino inventions, researches, and innovations which help bolster national development.
The team comprised of Vinson Josaiah P. Kasilag, Ezekiel P. Quanico and Benjamin Ford M. Cepe who are all students from Antique National School (ANS) who entered NICE under the Outstanding High School Creative Research subcategory.
Their entry, dubbed “Project MEDS: Mounted Establishment Disinfection System” aims to automate disinfection processes in establishments and offices. With this proposal, manual disinfection (e.g. manual spraying, fumigation) by using UV light and vapor technology which can be operated remotely, thus reducing viral infections.
