Filbake Food Corporation meets with DOST-FNRI for site visit, consultative meeting

Filbake Food Corporation (FFC) representatives and personnel from the Department of Science and Technology-Food Nutrition and Research Institute (DOST-FNRI) and DOST Aklan Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO) meet for a site visit and consultative meeting.

FFC is one of the adoptors of DOST-FNRI’s E-Nutribun technology in Squash, Carrot, and Yellow, Orange, and Purple Sweet Potato variants as well as its Complementary Food Technology, Rice Mongo Curls and Rice Mongo Blends.

During the visit, the FFC gave a quick overview of the company’s background and accomplishments particularly on the partnership with Department of Education (DepEd) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Following this was a facility tour and demonstration how they produce the adopted food technology.

With this, DOST-FNRI offered suggestions to further improve the production area and mentioned some agencies that FFC can possibly collaborate for the technologies adopted. Both parties also discussed ways to enhance FFC’s Nutritional Products line and how it can avail of other DOST-FNRI services. (KJRGagajena/DOSTVI-KMU)
