DOST VI, Dumangas LGU, ISAT U cut ribbon for KWAAGO pre-launching

Department of Science and Technology Region VI (DOST VI) Regional Director Engr. Rowen R. Gelonga, Dumangas Municipal Mayor Hon. Ronaldo B. Golez, and Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U) Campus Administrator Roshin B. Quitor kicked off the Ribbon Cutting ceremony for the Pre-launching of Knowledge Center for Weather, Atmospheric, Astronomical and Geophysical Observation (KWAAGO).

KWAAGO is an educational hub for understanding space, weather observation, and remote sensing technologies. It is equipped with computers with applications that can be used for exhibits, lectures, interactive activities, audio-visual presentations, and seminars.

The facility will also serve as a local data repository for weather and remote sensing data gathered from Satellites subscriptions, Automated Weather Instruments, Doppler Radars, and Climate Field School data and among others.
