The Department of Science and Technology VI (DOST VI) Guimaras Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO) sets up review classes for students taking the 2023 DOST-SEI S&T Undergraduate Scholarship Program on March 18 and 19.

The activity was conducted in collaboration with the local government unit (LGU) of Sibunag under the implementation of DOST’s Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST) Program. It aims to equip exam takers in Guimaras in the hope of increasing STI scholars in the province.

A kick-off activity was held on February 11 wherein 205 scholar applicants from all municipalities participated and were joined by representatives from LGU Sibunag and DOST Guimaras PSTO.   Review classes were then continued on the succeeding Saturdays, February 25 and March 4.

The review classes covered varied topics such as English, Mathematics, Science, and Logical Reasoning.  The students also took a simulation exam for them to better prepare for the actual examination.  This activity is an initiative of Guimaras PSTO Director Allen Daryl F. Asuelo.
