Many are creating solutions to aid the public cope with the COVID-19 health crisis. The University of Antique (UA) fights COVID-19 by ensuring that Antiqueños will have access to healthy and nutritious foods through its Sibalom Technology and Livelihood Support Hub (TechnoHub). The food processing hub focuses mainly on the production of rice and grain-based products.
As supported by DOST VI with the production equipment through its project, Community Empowerment through Science and Technology (CEST), the facility produces nutritious complementary food blends. To support frontliners and children in this time of the pandemic, the UA TechnoHub distributes a total of 4,800 packs of complementary foods to frontliners and children in the province of Antique. | SSalazar/DOST VI
