Two (2) companies in Guimaras, namely, W3M2 Company and Nonnie’s Delicacies and Food Products avail of the Department of Science and Technology’s (DOST) funding assistance through the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program 4.0 Innovation-Enabling Fund or SETUP 4.0-iFund.

The companies recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to seal the engagement with DOST VI. Present during the MOA signing were representatives from DOST VI Guimaras Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO) headed by the Provincial Science and Technology Director, Mr. Allen Daryl F. Asuelo, and the owners of the MSME-beneficiaries.

W3M2 Company, operating under the trade names Flow Purified Water, Guimaras Purified Water and Cool as Ice, is a company owned by Mr. Wilmare G. Edang. With the assistance from SETUP 4.0-iFund, the enterprise aims to upgrade their existing ice plant facilities.

Meanwhile, Nonnie’s Delicacies and Food Products is owned by Ms. Ronna Fe R. Delgado and is specialized in the production of baked goods. Back in 2017 when Nonnie’s availed of SETUP for the first time, they were able to acquire equipment and packaging materials that enhanced their product quality and operations. This time, the enterprise targets to acquire additional equipment, avail laboratory services and shelf-life study.
