WVHRDC equips researchers to submit proposals for 2024 funding

115 participants from various members organizations of the Western Visayas Health Research and Development Consortium (WVHRDC) attended the online orientation on preparing R&D proposals for 2024 funding on February 15.

The orientation included discussions on the Department of Science and Technology’s (DOST) priority areas for funding, Grants-in-Aid (GIA) guidelines including the form to be used in submitting proposals, eligibility and documentary requirements, general criteria for project proposal evaluation, proposal preparation, and an orientation on the use of the Gender and Development (GAD) checklist.

Dr. Aretha Ann G. Liwag, Chair of WVHRDC-Research Management Committee (WVHRDC-RMC), emphasized during her opening message that evidence from research is needed to establish facts so that things can be managed efficiently and in a timely fashion. She also encouraged researchers to submit their proposals since funding for research has increased over the years.

The said orientation aimed to equip researchers in preparing their proposals and encourage their submission in WVHRDC’s Call for Proposals that will run from February 16 to March 31, 2024. The call is open to all WVHRDC Member Organizations and up to 1 million pesos research grant will be provided to eligible health research proposals. (MCLSeñalista/RDIMS)
