The Innovation Hub (iHub) of the Department of Science and Technology Aklan Provincial Office (DOST-Aklan) hosted “iHub Orientation: Exploring STI & Scholar’s Tech Journey”, offering faculty and students of Aklan State University (ASU) a look into the world of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) and the transformative journey of a Scholars Technopreneurship Training Program (STTP) scholar.
STTP is a six-month capacity-building program organized by the Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) aiming to equip DOST scholars with the skills to transform their research and innovations into viable and marketable technologies.
STTP scholar Marefe Genean B. Ibit of ASU shared her growth journey and introduced READOut, the award-winning innovative mobile application developed by her team at DaluBasa. This app, designed to address poor reading literacy among Filipino students, notably earned the grand prize at the STTP Demo Day.
