In a continued effort to reinforce the responsibilities and obligations of continuing DOST-SEI undergraduate scholars, the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office VI (DOST VI), through its S&T Human Resource Development Section (STHRDS), conducted a series of reorientation programs for the Second Semester of Academic Year 2024-2025.

The reorientation sessions commenced on February 10, 2025, with simultaneous programs held at University of Antique (UA), Capiz State University (CAPSU), and Guimaras State University (GSU). This was followed by a session for scholars from West Visayas State University (WVSU) on February 12.

On the other hand, scholars from Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U) had their reorientation program on February 14.

The Aklan State University (ASU) reorientation was scheduled for February 17, while the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV), which has the largest number of DOST scholars in the region, conducted a two-day reorientation from February 17 to 18.

Throughout these sessions, scholars were reminded of their scholarship benefits, responsibilities, and obligations, as well as upcoming activities and initiatives under the Science Education Institute (SEI), The Filipino Patriot Scholars Program, and DOST-VI STHRDS.

To ensure that all scholars remain informed, a virtual reorientation session is set for February 27, 2025 which will cater to scholars enrolled in other State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across Western Visayas and Negros Occidental.
