𝟏𝟎 π₯𝐨𝐜𝐚π₯ 𝐒𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐒𝐜𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐧 πƒπŽπ’π“ π•πˆ’𝐬 𝐩𝐒𝐭𝐜𝐑𝐒𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭

The Department of Science and Technology VI (DOST VI) hosts the β€œPitch Perfect: Strategic Approaches for Spinoff Partnerships”, a pitching contest held to equip aspiring startup/spinoff founders with skills and strategies to craft compelling pitches, effectively present their technologies and attract investment to support the commercialization of their innovations.

A total of ten (10) technologies developed by researchers and innovators from the different state universities and colleges (SUCs) participated during the activity championing their most promising technologies and their best pitch deck. The pitches were judged by esteemed panelists, namely, Ms. Velma Jane C. Lao from the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion (LEDIP) Office of the Iloilo City LGU; Mr. Martin R. Ortiz from Fyrlab Accelerator; Ms. Mary Gillian G. Santos from Anihan Technologies Inc.; and Ms. Juafe M. Abareles from DOST Capiz Provincial Office.

Three (3) technologies emerged best and received the β€œPitch Perfect Award”. These were Mr. Harry C. Luces for the Myco-organic Fertilizer from the University of Antique (UA), Engr. Monalyn L. Oloroso for the BioDry Mach from Capiz State University (CapSU); and Mr. Reyno T. Herrera for the Instant Lutik from Guimaras State University (GSU).

Other pitchers include Mr. Christian Anthony G. Serfino for Lemon Grass Wine from Central Philippine State University (CPSU), Dr. Sarah A. Galang for the Educational Device for Vocabulary Training from Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU), Mr. Guy V. Arellano for the Tila-ok Poultry Management System from Iloilo State University (ISAT U), Mr. Ryan M. Pedrano for the Buffalo Milk-based Yogurt from the State University of Northern Negros (SUNN); Ms. Hallysa Mica G. Bandojo for the Acoustic Board from Northern Iloilo State University (NISU); Mr. Joseph O. Golingay for the Mushroom Growth Stimulator from the Technological University of the Philippines Visayas (TUPV), and Dr. Maria Gerlia A. Blanza for the Empanada Machine from Western Visayas State University (WVSU).

The Pitch Perfect activity provides a valuable platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to promote their technologies, build connections, and learn from the insights and feedback of key stakeholders.
