Bacolod City, DOST VI holds quality standards public training for MSMEs

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Negros Occidental Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO) and the Bacolod City Government through the office of Mayor Alfredo Abelardo “Albee” Benitez and the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (LEDIPO) headed by Dr. Frances Mae Ferrer-Llamas, recently organized a public training course titled “Measuring Success: Empowering MSMEs with Standards and Testing Proficiency”  held at the Bacolod Express Service Office (BESO), Ayala Malls Capitol Central.

The training featured resource persons from the DOST VI Regional Standards and Testing Laboratory (RSTL). Mr. Mark V. Rosales, Technical Manager of the Regional Metrology Laboratory, presented on “Elevating Quality in MSMEs through Calibration” and Mr. Roxzien Shaye G. Sesbreño, Technical Manager of the Chemical Testing Laboratory, shared his insights on “Enhancing Quality and Compliance through Standards and Testing Laboratory.”

The course attracted participants from various sectors, including the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the local government offices and the academe in Bacolod City, highlighting the widespread interest in raising standards and proficiency within the city.
