Training on gender sensitivity set for LGU Jordan

Jordan, Guimaras —  A training on gender sensitivity for the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Jordan, Guimaras was made possible through the Guimaras Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

The training is part of the Human Resource Development component of the Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST) project in the Municipality of Jordan.

Mayor Cresente P. Chavez, Jr. of the Municipality of Jordan graced the event.  “I encourage the employees to learn and understand in order to make their workplaces more acceptable and respectful towards each other”, shared Mayor Chavez in his welcome message.  The participants actively joined the activities with Guimaras Provincial S&T Office Director, Mr. Allen Daryl F. Asuelo, leading the lecture and assisted by Ms. Ruby G. Llaneta, SRS II.

Moreover, a presentation on DOST programs, projects and activities as well the overview of the CEST program in the Municipality of Jordan was presented by Guimaras PSTO Assistant Provincial Director, Sol A. Salazar.

Capping the activity is the line shared by Provincial Director Asuelo, “Let us dream of a community where  individuals are not judged or limited by their gender, but instead celebrated for their unique abilities and contributions.” (MASASalazar/Guimaras PSTO)
