The Capiz State University Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubator (CAPSU-ATBI) conducted the CAPSULE TBI: Linking to Financial Institutions seminar in CAPSU Administration Building, Roxas City, Capiz.

A total of 35 participants joined the activity which aimed to introduce the different agencies’ financial assistance programs such as loans and possible grants to micro, small and medium enterprises or MSMEs. This will further help MSMEs to understand the options available in securing additional capitalization and guide them on how to access these programs.

The Department of Science and Technology VI (DOST VI) represented by the Capiz Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO) attended the said activity and was able to present DOST’s various programs and services targeted to provide technical assistance for MSMEs to level up their businesses. Highlighted during the presentation was the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program 4.0 (SETUP 4.0), tech trainings, consultancy programs, and laboratory services.

Other agencies and organizations such as the Small Business Corporation of the Department of the Trade and Industry, Department of Labor and Employment Capiz, Capiz Lending Center of the Landbank of the Philippines Roxas City Branch, and GRF Hublag Microfinance Foundation Inc. also discussed their respective service offerings that can help startup business in Capiz, particularly in terms of increasing capitalization.

Moreover, the CAPSU ATBI is a DOST-supported business incubator and caters to 23 startups in the province of Capiz.

The Technology Business Incubation (TBI) is an initiative of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) to promote innovation and technopreneurship for the country’s socio-economic development in a knowledge-based world economy. The goal of every TBI is to produce firms that will leave the incubation program financially viable and able to sustain operations and compete in the market.
