Zaulda Bakery from Kalibo, Aklan had undergone fruit juice processing training facilitated by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Aklan Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO). The training was requested by Ms. Rhoda Zaulda, owner of Zaulda Bakery, as she sought to add ready-to-drink (RTD) fruit juices in the product line.

Aklan PSTO tapped Ms. Shelyn Mae Dionela, an expert from the University of Antique – Hamtic Campus, as resource person to discuss procedures on RTD buko juice, RTD calamansi juice, and calamansi concentrate.

In addition to the lectures and demonstrations about fruit juice production, Food Safety was also a priority topic to ensure that the bakery staff is up to date on how to prepare the products sanitarily. (DOST VI-KMU)
