SETUP 4.0 orientation, proposal making workshop held for 10 MSMEs in Capiz

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO) in Capiz holds an orientation for the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program 4.0 (SETUP 4.0) and a workshop on proposal making for ten (10) micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the province.

The orientation and workshop target to help interest MSMEs to better understand the science and technology (S&T) services being offered under SETUP 4.0 as well as on how to prepare proposals to avail the said program.

Aside from the overview of the various regional science and technology services (STS) such as consultancy services and packaging and labeling assistance, the participants were briefed on SETUP’s evolution to SETUP 4.0, its Roadmap and Strategic Framework, and the SETUP Innovation Enabling Fund (SETUP iFund).

This was followed by and in-depth discussion on how a business can avail of the SETUP’s services, how to apply, what engagements will entail, priority sectors, application requirements, and processes up to the program’s refund scheme. The beneficiaries were also oriented on Gender and Development (GAD).
