Fifteen MSMEs in Capiz avail of DOST’s packaging services
DOST VI, through its Capiz Provincial S&T Center (PSTC) recently conducted the Forum and Awarding of Packaging Materials and New and Developed Label Design to its 2021 Program Beneficiaries. The one-day activity was attended by 15 MSMEs located in different parts of Capiz Province.
Among the activities undertaken were the 1) Orientation on Packaging and Labeling Requirements; 2) Awarding of printed copies of label designs and packaging materials and soft copy stored on a USB flash drive; 3) Presentation of DOST programs and services via an audio-visual presentation and 4) Distribution of Stakeholders Consultation Survey Form.
For 2021, the Capiz PSTC targeted fifteen (15) customers to be delivered with twenty-five (25) S&T interventions. Of these 15 MSMEs, forty-two (42) label designs were completed and awarded to the beneficiaries.
The Product Packaging Technology Assistance Program of DOST aims to increase the market competitiveness of the locally-produced goods of these MSMEs by providing packaging technology solutions to their products.
