RDC VI endorses 2023 budget for S&T programs and initiatives

Engr. Rowen R. Gelonga, DOST VI Regional Director, presented the agency’s budget proposal per program/activity/project (PAP) as well as its major accomplishments and targets for the period.

DOST VI planned to increase the budget allocation for the implementation of major DOST programs such as the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP), Grants-in-Aid (GIA), and Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST). Additional budget provision for projects on research and development, COVID-19 initiatives, laboratory equipment, among others.

The endorsement transpired during the FY 2023 budget review of Regional Line Agencies (RLAs) and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) held on February 21-24, 2022.
