Pio Laser Solutions has built a reputation for transforming architectural and design concepts into customized fabrication works for clients across the country. Based in Jamindan, Capiz, the woman-led enterprise was established by Ms. Jennifer O. Jinon in 2018 after recognizing the limited availability of specialized laser-cut fabrication services within Panay Island. Today, the firm serves clients from different parts of the Philippines and produces customized laser-cut panels, signage, gates, façade cladding, and decorative metalworks for architectural, commercial, and residential applications.

The firm is set to improve its production system through the DOST Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) 4.0 iFund, with its project entitled “Process, Product Quality, and System Improvement of Pio Laser Solutions” recently approved with assistance amounting to PhP 1,200,000.00. To formally commence the implementation of the project, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing was conducted among the concerned parties. The project will establish an in-house powder coating capability and provide technical assistance on machinery and equipment management. These interventions are expected to improve finishing quality, reduce production costs, shorten turnaround times, and increase overall operational efficiency.

For Pio Laser Solutions, the assistance directly supports its move toward a more complete in-house fabrication process. “We are sincerely grateful to DOST SETUP for supporting local enterprises like ours. This assistance will help us expand our services, strengthen our operations, create additional employment opportunities, and deliver greater value to our customers in the years ahead,” Ms. Jinon shared.

With these S&T-driven interventions, Pio Laser Solutions is expected to enhance its competitiveness by strengthening quality control, improving production efficiency, and expanding its capacity to serve clients nationwide. The project highlights the role of science and technology in helping local fabrication enterprises deliver higher-quality products and more responsive services to a growing market.
