Preparation meets purpose as the DOST Scholars’ Association-Capiz (DOST SA-Capiz) turned two February weekends into a starting point for future STEM leaders with its Zoom ISKO-nnect Review Session for the 2026 DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship Examination.
Held on February 7 and 14, 2026, the initiative was conducted entirely online via the DOST SA Capiz Facebook page and Zoom, creating an accessible learning space for aspiring scholars. The Zoom sessions welcomed 85 participants, while the Facebook Live streams reached over 4,400 views, extending the reach of science learning far beyond local communities. This review session is the Phase II of the ISKO-nnect Initiative, a DOST Scholarship Exam Application campaign in Capiz, following its Phase I held in November 2025.
Volunteer DOST scholars led the sessions, covering Science, Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning. They went beyond lessons, sharing study strategies, tips, and encouragement to help students feel confident and ready for the exam.
By using online platforms, DOST SA Capiz showed that science education can be accessible, supportive, and community-driven. ISKO-nnect was more than a review — it was guidance, mentorship, and motivation all in one.
As the 2026 DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship Examination approaches on February 21–22, 2026, dozens of hopeful examinees now carry not just sharpened skills, but renewed confidence — powered by scholars who chose to give back and bring science closer to home. (MACGregorios/DOSTCapiz)
