As part of the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) Space Science and Technology Applications (SSTA) Exhibit, DOST Region VI also participated in a field trip with Dumangas National High School students to the Knowledge Center for Weather, Atmospheric, Astronomical, and Geophysical Observation (KWAAGO). Engr. Christian James C. Jandayran, Head of the DOST VI Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), showcased the Ground Station Operations, highlighting the functions and features of Ground Receiving Stations and Philippine-owned satellites.
Today, PhilSA representatives led by Dr. Jasmine Angelie Albelda and Mr. Joseph Gutierrez paid a courtesy visit to DOST Regional Director Rowen R. Gelonga. The team expressed gratitude for the successful partnership during the SSTA exhibit at SM City Iloilo, marking the occasion with a Plaque of Appreciation. As we look ahead, DOST VI and PhilSA are excited to continue working together to advance science, technology, and innovation in the Philippines.
