A 2-day training and demonstration on vacuum frying technology was conducted in line with Department of Science and Technology’s (DOST) Mobile Modular Food Processing Facility (MMFPF) Project.

The training was attended by the MMFPF project staff and selected personnel from DOST VI. It included lectures about the vacuum frying technology and its process, demo of the vacuum frying standard procedures and trial on vacuum frying oysters.

The Mobile Modular Food Processing Facility (MMFPF) Project led by DOST-Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI) targets to evaluate the needs and potential of surplus food production and design an appropriate mobile food processing facility for Western Visayas. Three (3) other regions will be provided with the MMFPF, namely, MIMAROPA, Davao, and Northern Mindanao. (NABFactuar/DOST VI-KMU)
