DOST VI inks MOU on Regional EPAHP
The Department of Science and Technology Regional Office VI (DOST RO VI) joins hands with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Regional Office VI (DSWD RO VI) after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the latter’s Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program with other partnering agencies at Seda Atria Hotel, April 22.
Officer-in-charge (OIC) Office of the Assistant Regional Director for Technical Operations Dr. Naomi Cossette R. Luis represented the DOST VI in the official inking of the MOU.
The EPAHP Program was conceived from the government’s effort in addressing hunger and poverty among the urban and rural communities which also covers marginalized communities through the collaboration of convergence among the National Government Agencies (NGAs) at the regional level.
The MOU recognizes the partnerships of the DOST VI with other agencies such as the DSWD, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), the Department of Agriculture (DA), the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Bureau Of Jail Management And Penology (BJMP), the Department of Education (DepEd), the Department of Health (DOH), the National Nutrition Council (NNC), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the National Irrigation Administration (NIA), the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC), the Department of Information and Communications (DICT), the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), the Commission on Population (POPCOM), among other NGAs in realizing the goals of the EPAHP program.
